Gym Mums and Dads, A huge! competition season is fast approaching and this is just a quick update to let you know what is happening.

23th July: In House Competition at NWG in Mount Isa. Preparation for Hughenden and Townsville Comps.
5th and 6th of August: Hughenden Competition. Please note this year the Hughenden Comp is not a sanctioned event and hence does not facilitate levels testing or qualification for States.
19th and 20th August: Junior Regionals (Levels 3-6) at Gymnastics Townsville. Last chance for State qualification. Mandatory for our State Qualifiers. Opportunity for Levels Testing.
26-27th August: Leichhardt Invitational. Strongly recommended for all gymnasts.
16-19th September: Junior State Championships in Brisbane. For our State qualifiers.
3rd, 4th and 5th November: Gymnastics Townsville Invitational. All levels.
We can’t encourage enough attendance at competitions as they not only provide the gymnasts with a deadline to work towards for building motivation but they are also rewarding and help build team spirit.
We believe that the challenge and reward from competitions such as these is critical for continued success in the sport.
Gymnastics is a difficult and often frustrating sport with some skills taking years to master. These competitions help your athletes work hard to be their best and provide an avenue for them to reap the rewards from their efforts.
